block size and configuration for 8 bay QNAP

Post by Continuum2 » Wed Jun 15, 2016 7:02 pm

Hi,

We are trying to rebuild an 8 disk RAID 6 set from a QNAP TS 869 Pro.

I was wondering if anyone know the default block size for these? the box has failed, so the data should be there if we can configure right.

Also, does it use reed solomon, or xor?

Any configuration help would be great.

Please don't duplicate posts

What has been the source of the problem?

Have you played with the drives?

Some premises are needed.

E.g. Are all the drives healthy?

Thank you
