I am trying to recover data (100-200GB) from a damaged 1DB HGST Drive.
The computers Drive Manager lists the drive ( attached via USB bridge) as Unallocated. ( Last night amateur me initialized it - since it did not show in explorer, but the Disk Manager said Not Initialized)...
R-Studo can "see" the drive, but no data, and Scan is not listed as an option.

About ready to give up and send to a pro... any advice?
Thanks

Try to connect the disk through a SATA interface. If that isn't available, at least through another USB bridge. Look at the SMART tab. If SMART isn't available and another connection shows the same results, most likely the disk's hardware failed and thus a visit to a pro is imminent.

That drive is showing -1 LBA capacity. Most likely it's a hardware failure. Data recovery software can't scan if there is no LBA access. I'd suggest you consult a professional recovery lab. PM me if you'd like some recommendations based on your location.
