Hello,
I have a question.
To change from a non advanced format disk to an advanced format disk, can I use R-Drive mage?
Namely, I am thinking of doing as follows.
1) I back up the C drive of the old HDD with R-Drive Image.
2) I put in a new HDD, create partitions and format them with partition alignment.
3) I restore the image into the new C partition in the new HDD.
I use Windows XP SP3.
Thank you for your comments.

I suggest another procedure:
1. You copy your old C disk onto the new drive, adjusting the partition as needed. Don't forget to select "Do not connect" in the Drive letter option on the Restore/Copy Parameters panel to avoid possible system lockup during the next startup. See [urlhttp://www.drive-image.com/DriveImage_Help/copydisktodisk.htm]R-Drive Image help: Disk copy[/url] for more details.
2. You start Windows with the new disk.
3. Upon successful startup you go to Windows disk manager and create the rest partitions.
I think using the native Windows disk manager as much as possible is the best and safest way of partition management.
