Well, we are aware of the problem and working on it.
As a workaround, create a disk image and scan it. While creating the image, the contents of the bad sectors will be replaced with the pattern specified on the Tools menu -> Settings -> Bad Sectors. Also check that the Default read attempts is set to 1.
And it is a good advice to create images of the disks before recovering data. This is especially important when the drive is dying.

HDD FAILS

Hi there,
I am trying to recover data from my hdd. I couldn't use Recover and the software requested to run a scan. The scan freezes after about 60% and tried to run few times, but same result. The error message is as follows;
Known file type scan thread has been respawned because of analysis timeout because of a bad sector!!!
Is there any way to skip this sector or by pass it? If not, how can I deal with this?

Tks
