2. Yes for a Windows version, a pseudo-graphic GUI for the startup version.
3. Yes, it's possible to create tasks and scripts and execute them.
4. Yes, except FTP. You may save image files on another local partition or a mounted network share.
5. Yes, it supports FAT, NTFS, and extFS.

There are about R-Drive Image in general, to check if it meets my needs before investing time to learn about it.

Is it a good alternative to Clonezilla, ie. boots from USB to save/restore images of NTFS/Linux partitions?

Hello,

I'm looking for an alternative to Clonezilla to save/restore Windows and Linux partitions on test hosts.

Here are the requirements:
1. Can build a bootable USB key drive so as to boot and save a partition, instead of using Windows' Shadow Copy mode
2. The cloning application should provide a GUI
3. Ideally, it should be possible to save the commands used to restore a partition, so as to make it easier in test labs where we need to perfom this task often
4. It should be possible to save/fetch the partition into a file in a second partition or on a remote FTP/CIFS server
5. The cloning application should support NTFS and Linux (ext2, ext3, or ext4) filesystems
