AUTO RETRY option when backing up

by ruggieroav » Fri Jul 11, 2014 2:15 pm

Hi,

Does any version of R-Drive Image feature an auto-retry feature when backing up? I know you can set the software to retry on "read/write" errors, or simply ignore them, but what if there is a break in connection between the source computer and backup device, such as when backing up to a NAS or offsite?

Currently, I have a situation whereby R-Drive Image will always quit mid-way through a backup when storing on a SAMBA share - the error message from the backup is (64) The Network Name is no longer available. I tried with another "manual" backup software, and got the same error, but was able to hit RETRY and continue, so I believe this auto-retry function in R-Drive Image, if not yet implemented, would be a welcome addition!

If such an "automatic retry" feature already exists, please inform me how to enable it.

Thanks,
Joe
