I have a server that was infected by Mr.Dec Ransomware. Encrypted all files plus the split 250gb R-DriveImage backups that were online at the time. The virus actually doesn't encrypt the whole file for large files because it would take days to encrypt so instead of maybe encrypts a small portion of the file so its not recognized properly by the OS. I know this because I've had luck on a VHD files recovering using R-Studio. So the question is how do I repair/recover the R-Drive Image Backup files?? Opening the file using OPEN IMAGE under R-Studio Network doesn't find anything.
