R-Studio can't recover the MBR of that disk because it doesn't write anything on the disk for data safety reason.
You may recover data from the disk by copying the files to some other place.

I have a hard drive that is 120gb and all I can see is 111.8gb. When I open that partition up it is the recovery partition only. Is there a way to recover the masterboot record and data from this drive using r studio?
