Resume scan from last used settings (pause then continue a scan)

I would like a way to resume a scan from its last used settings.

Currently if I'm scanning a DDI device, if I want to adjust imaging algorithm I have to cancel the scan, change configuration in DRE, then start a new scan and re-enter all of my offsets, filesystems, etc.

It would be great if one could just pause the scan, adjust in DRE as needed, then continue the scan where they left off using the same settings.
