Immediately!!! Read this FAQ item and go to a professional data recovery service, if you really value your personal photos and documents.

A Little Advice

by silvanet » Tue Nov 09, 2010 4:03 pm

I have a one terabyte sata Seagate disk that was NTFS formatted and had a ton of my personal photos and documents. My daughter accidentally pulled the disk off my desk and it fell to the floor. Since then, it would spin but not read. When I scan it with R-Studio I get read disk errors at positions 1024, 1536, and 0, all failing after 10 attempts; request could not be performed because of an I/O device error (1117). Am I pretty much out of luck, or is there some approach I can take to try to recover something out of it?
