Is it possible to find data on the hard drive after a PC reset when the "Remove everything" option was selected?
I reset my computer using the remove everything option, after moving the data I wanted to keep to my external hard drive. I didn't realize my external hard drive had a password that was remembered by the computer and now I cant remember the password. The External hard drive is a WD passport, about 5 years old. I would like the data off the passport and don't know if I have any options other than get the password right. I feel like given a few years of guessing I may get it. Are there any programs that could make repeated guesses based on some suggested key words?
