CRC errors are generally the result of a massive amount of bad sectors. Definitely best to get the drive to a company with hardware imaging equipment. The good news is if it's able to return CRC errors it should be an affordable recovery.

Hi guys,

wondering if you guys have come across this before, i have an external disk, showing as RAW, its also showing crc failures everywhere...
i cannot fix the crc failures with chkdsk and r-studio seems to have a heart attack at seeing crc failures everywhere on the disk... im not able to do any recovery or take an image of the disk :(

any ideas how i can get around this or am i going to need to pass the disk over for physical lab recovery ?

the drive is a seagate momentus 5400 320gb drive

any help/suggestions would be great thanks.
