R-Drive scheduling bugs.
A few bugs i have encountered running R-Drive on a set of mixed servers for the last month. Servers vary from 2003 and 2008. The also vary in architechture (both 32 and 64 bits) however, these "bugs" have appeared on all.

Re: Follow up
Another tip, in your Antivirus client, you should always put mounted network shares on the exclusion list (provided the host that provides the share is protected as well). You will see great speedups in network transfers when you do this. How great they are depends on your AV software, some slows ...

Re: R-Drive Boot CD compatible with PERC6 or Intel SRC42U?
If im not misstaken, the LSI module support built into the linux kernel supports all LSI Megaraid products, wether they are SCSI, Sata or SAS. I have had no issues accessing PERC6 controllers with most linux based bootcds, i dont have a SRC42U handy to test with at the moment.

Re: Follow up
naturally, the local system account does not have access to network shares unless you have granted full access to any account, which i shouldnt suggest. I believe in a domain environment you have to give the machine account of the host privileges to that share to. I would not recommend this. For a ...

Re: Server 2000, dynamic disks, and MS Virtual server
This problem is generic with R-Drive, meaning you are not the only one suffering from it. My guess is that it relates to how R-Drive interprets dynamic disks if they are software raided. I have currently been evaluating R-Drive on some of my clients 2008 Servers some have hardware raid and some use ...
