Corrupted files when recovering data from Intel Raid 0

Post by burglor » Fri Jul 23, 2021 3:15 pm

Hello,

I'm using R-studio version 8 on Windows. I had a user set up an Intel Raid 0 with two SSDs and accidentally deleted all of its contents with a cmd command.

I've been able to scan the raid and create an image. R-studio automatically detects the RAID 0 and shows the logical drive letter, so I wasn't sure if I needed to rebuild a virtual raid in this instance.

Every time I go to recover a file, I'm unable to open it due to file corruption, regardless of file type. Is there anything else I can try? Are there additional steps I should take for a Raid 0?

Did you look at the hex contents of the drive. It is entirely possible that the TRIM command was run in the background after the files were deleted, resulting in the sectors where the files were stored to be fully erased.
