R-Studio x64 uses too much memory

Hi,
I have a 6.8TB partition that I am trying to recover.
After scanning the partition I saved the scan information (it is a file of about 2.5GB size) and then I try to view the files (F5).
When I do this it shows a progress bar with how many entries are found and it hangs after the progress bar reaches about 80-85%.
When I look at the memory usage the program Rstudio64.exe uses about 20,400,000K (about 20GB) of memory.
I am using a Xeon W3520 CPU (2.66Ghz default, overclocked to 3Ghz) - it is the equivalent of Core i7 920, and 12GB of DDR3 1333Mhz.
The page file is set to 24GB minimum and 48GB maximum.
I started the process again and I checked the memory usage of Rstudio64.exe and it increases with insane speed, until it reaches the 20GB, then the program stops responding.
Any ideas on how I can have the program finish its job without hanging?
thank you,
~Marcus
