R-Studio (and RLinux) Stops processing at ~32%

Post by McMillian » Tue Aug 09, 2022 5:17 pm

I have:
- tried previous and current versions of RStudio (and RLinux), both Windows and Linux (Ubuntu) systems as well as the emergency boot disk.
- performed a full scan of the entire filesystem using rstudio with no issues, and have check for low level errors and have found none.
- verified the file system is ext4 with the 64 bit mode flag set.
- copied the entire file system into image files (alexandria.dsk and alexandria.bin) using both DD and Rstudio onto a 60tb file system.
- The work machine was contains 60tb file system Ubuntu 22.04 system with 128gb ram, and 256gb swap file.

The target file system is 21.83TB, Ext4.

All attempts to use the "Show Files" action hangs at the 32% mark when progress stops.
Exactly, it finds 4832512 entries, 32% for a total of 10.23 TB in 4832512 Files in 778935 folders. This point is reached in about 2 hours.
However, after 5.5 days, it has not progressed further. There are no out of memory errors, no log errors, nor does it suggest stopping at any point. The program does not hang and remains responsive. Progression just stops.

Screen shots (combined) are at 1 hr 2 min, 15 hours, and 5 days.

Please contact our techsupport. We need to analyze some data from your disk to fix the problem and I believe that you don't want to make this data public.

In case anyone else comes across this.

This issue was present until v.5.1.191032

Appears to be fixed in v.5.1.191044.

Thank you Engineering Team.
