R-Studio Emergency GUI for Mac is not showing the Macintosh HD

Post by rstudiousr » Tue Feb 21, 2023 9:57 pm

Hi,

I was able to boot successfully with R-Studio Emergency GUI on a 2015 Macintosh running MacOS Sierra but the Macintosh HD drive is not showing in the list of drive. When I boot using the Mac recovery mode (Command + R) the Macintosh HD is showing up.

Any idea on what might be going on?

Thanks.

R-Studio Emergency didn't show the hard drive (hardware), did it? Is the drive encrypted?

By the way, the drive is a NVMe M.2 PCie SSD. Can R-Studio Linux recognize these drives?

I was able to make the drive appear with R-Studio Technician for Linux running on a Linux Live usb.
