Scan hangs at 34.69GB

Hello,

I'm trying to recover data from my OpenBSD server's HDD. It has worked fine with other BSDParts, but I'm now having trouble with the largest partition.
Scan works fine until 15% /34,69GB / 72755984 sectors and then just stays in this position.

I've no previous experience with recovering data from UFS file systems. Could anyone please give me any ideas what to try next?

Thank you in advance.

Any possible hardware problems with the disk on that place?

Could be. I still don't know what happened to the disk, but the OS went quite crazy and I had input/output errors when trying to fix things from inside the OS itself.

Could I just skip a couple of sectors from the scan?
I'm trying with currently trying to create a couple of regions but it's kind of complicated and I'm not sure if it's going to work.
Also, I don't know how many sectors after that are also damaged, is there any way to find this out (except with trial and error method)?

Thank you.

Unfortunately, the trial and error method is the only one, unless the bad sector map is available.
Scanning through several tries is described in our online help: http://www.unformat-unerase.com/Unforma ... index.html -> Advanced Data Recovery -> Disk Scan -> Multiple scans.
If any question, feel free to ask it here.
