Tyranny of a dialog box

Sorry about the subject line --I wanted this to be a magnet for attention ;)

Here is what's bothering me: When you start a long process (like imaging) a silly dialogbox (with a stupid progressbar) comes up that tells you nothing that the statusbar already doesn't.

But, [no] thanks to that dialogbox, the application is monopolized/paralised --you can't move/resize/minimize the main window; can't use any of the menus (such as 'help') that wouldn't disturb the currently running task either.

It would be much nicer of you if you simply disabled the panes and menus that would disturb the task at hand yet let me do all those things I mentioned above.

And, while you are at it, that is I hope you will get to it, please also add a 'minimize to taskbar' option, it is just the place for such long running processes.

A further option to let it come alive from the taskbar on completing the operation would be nice too.

This will be implemented soon.
