I understand that, I use my own Acronis files.

I don't think I mentioned it and I don't know if it matters, but the Acronis version used to create the backups was Version 8. The file signatures should be the same, but just being thorough.

Are you able to recreate this issue in your testing or is there something wrong with how I'm conducting recovery? I would like to know if this is a valid issue or PEBKAC.

Doesn't look like someone doing wrong, but we can't reproduce the problem accurately. It sometimes appears, sometimes don't.

Please tell me this is accepted as a bug and is actively being tested for the source. I've purchased a license for R-Studio and have yet not been able to use it for recovery unfortunately due to this particular problem. If this can not be resolved in a reasonable amount of time I will have to use a competitor's product which I'm trying hard not to do because lack of funds takes precedence here.

We think the problem will be resolved in the next build. We were unable to reproduce the problem but we believe that we found some causes of the problem.

I hate being asked for ETA of release so forgive me for asking when I can expect that build to be released. Many photos were stored in those backups and the holidays draw near where they would be nice to have available.

It's not any kind of commitment, but I believe within a month.

I am having the exact same problem with the exact same conditions and submitted "Support Request 2012-11-12 11:11:13" which asked me for screen shots, etc. My conditions and situation are exactly as in this post 3TB USB drive that had an Acronis True Image TIB file deleted and nothing has written on the drive sense. I purchased a license of this software to recover it and it cannot do it yet. It seems to be having trouble reading the $MFT. I can provide more details if needed but can I be informed when there is a new release or beta that I can try. It is really important to me to recover this TIB file.

I have the same exact issue trying to restore a deleted 700-800GB Acronis True Image TIB file from a 3TB USB drive. My TIB is compressed, I think on the "Normal" compression setting but could be "Ultra/Ultimate". Please let me know when an update exists that can address this issue. We won't be the only ones as Acronis deletes the TIB when you think it is deleting images registered in the application. Also I tried many competing products and none of them work so if you nail it that will be a real plus for you product!
