Hello Forum

Why are under "Recognized"(after R-Studio scanned the selected harddisk) also regular/undeleted files listed as well?

Any feedback is appreciated very much!

Probably, because they overlap?

How can it be determined if a regular files do overlap?

What could be the reason that a file does overlap?

Thank you!

If a file found using file signatures fully coincides with another file found by analyzing the file system, both are treated as one file. In other cases, they are treated as two separate files.

Some file signatures of other files found within a file.

Thank you for the reply!

Ok, i copied 69 files to a newly formated USB-tick and did the following:

tab -> G:(Recognized) -> Find/Mark -> (x) deleted files / () existing files -> Find all matched files

Question:
What I am doing wrong, even this way, all (regular/undeleted) 69 files are listed... Is there really no way
to exclude regular/undeleted files the "view"...

Thank you!

Joseph

If you want to exclude existing files from the view, use the file mask.
