Excel cannot be opened after data recovery

Hi, I have used R-linux to recover my drive. During the recovery phase, it claims some of the file already existed so it append f in front of the file name and some number at end. After the recovery is done, I cannot open any of the files that has been renamed. Look at the file size, they looks valid file size. Any thought?

It's hard to say much without seeing the actual files. You may try to use our Excel file recovery tool R-Excel to see whether the files are broken, or contain only garbage. This program is commercial software, but with a free preview.

Hi, I tried the program. It does not help. In the recovery phase, it says file exist, then it failed but it does create the file. Why it cannot recover the file it already existed?

Hi Alt,

can you help me? I can provide the file if you need it. All the files names are shown up after scan. Once I recovered them, some of them cannot be opened.

You can send me a couple of those files that cannot be opened. I'll try to see whether they're simply broken somehow or they contain total garbage.
