USB Boot - Custom Network Drivers

Post by skolic » Mon Nov 24, 2014 5:51 am

Hi all,

At our company we ordered 20 new XPS13 systems. Because these systems are ultra-books, there is no on-board LAN adapter. We have USB3.0 to LAN adapters per system that we can use. Is it possible add the drivers of the USB3.0 LAN adapters so we can boot via USB-stick and restore images from the network? Are there any other possible solutions for this? We want to roll-out images for these systems from network.

Thank you,
Sead

USB Boot - Custom Drivers

Hi all,

Is it possible to add custom drivers for USB3.0 to LAN adapters? I'm using a usb-stick for booting and want to restore an image from the local-network. We do not have on-board LAN-adapters on the devices as these are ultrabooks.

Any suggestions?

Thanks,
Sead

Most likely, these devices have WiFi adapters. You may use them.
We need Linux drivers for your adapters from their manufacturers to include them into the startup version.
