HFS/HFS+ Btree+Node

Post by alex4478 » Wed Nov 02, 2016 11:17 am

Hi,

So I'm performing a data Recovery on my disk and I'm hoping that I will end up with a tree view of the files and folders that were on my disk (I formatted it).

I'm using a MAC computer, but the idea is just the same on Windows. I'm hoping at the end of the scan to see something that replicates Windows Explorer or Finder, a tree view of the folders that were on my system.

I could perform a RAW recovery, but to sort through 250,000 jpgs when only 10,000 are the photos I want back would be horrendous. I'd really like to see the folder structure so I can tell R-Studio what to recover that way.

Where R-Studio is displaying 654 entries for HFS/HFS+ Btree+Node, is that going to produce the folder structure I'm after?

Many thanks for any replies.

If R-Studio doesn't do this, does another app do it?

Unfortunately, when Mac formats an HFS disk, it deletes everything. The only hope is that R-Studio can name files and set its timestamps using file's internal tags.
