How to recover Exchange Database

Post by 619data » Tue Dec 11, 2018 5:04 pm

Hello,

We have an extensively damaged RAID unit and looking to get the Exchange Database recovered. WE are unable to see it in the normal Folder/File structure. Also, does not look like the Raw Scan is able to pick it up.

Can we get some help on this?

Thanks,

Well. I'd like to see the screenshot of the Drives panel for the beginning.
Are you sure you have all RAID parameters correct?

The RAID is in its native state. It is a hardware RAID and all disks are running. The File system was partially overwritten with a ChkDsk.

I just need help in recovering the Exchange Database. It does not seem to have Microsoft Exchange in the list of files to scan for. All other files are working correctly, like OST files, PST files and SQL files.

Thanks!

Try this one, but if the original file is really big, chances are not very high.
Save it as, say, Exchange.xml, and load it on the Settings -> Main tab.

Code: Select all

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<FileTypeList version="1.0">
    <FileType id="50008" group="Microsoft Exchange Server" description="MS Exchange files" features="" extension="etb">
            <Signature offset="4">\xef\xcd\xab\x89</Signature>
    </FileType>
</FileTypeList">
