Best method for recovering data from partially-zeroed disk

Hi,
I accidentally began zero-ing a disk and cancelled it relatively early on. Its a 3TB drive and I ran the zero operation for about 30-45 seconds before cancelling it.
What is the best method for recovery? I have done the R-Studio scan and am trying to recover files from the largest 'partition' (?) but I am not sure if I am doing it correctly, as there was only about 1.3T of data on the 3TB disk, and I've completely filled a 4TB disk (recovery destination) during the recovery. Am I doing something wrong?
In the 'root' directory, I see the original folder structure, but no files are populating within these folders, instead, I ahve thousands of numerically named folders with small bits of data in them being created.
Screenshots here (too big for attachment):
Sorry for picture of screen, I was in a rush and don't have a good method of uploading from this system:

Any advice would be welcome, thanks in advance
