Naming convention for backup set files (Ver. 7)

I have just started using R-Drive Image for backups of my laptop. Was previously using StorageCraft's Shadow Protect, but since they merged with ArcServe, their focus on small users appears to be being sacrificed in favor of the big guys. Looking forward to working with your organization.

To understand fully how the program functions, I would like to know the convention that is used for naming the files generated by the Image Backup. My first Task (Simple Rotation, Incremental, 4GB files) has generated lots of files named HDD1-image_yyyymmddxxxxxx_1_n.rdr
  • yyyy = year
  • mm = month
  • dd = day
  • n = increasing number for the many files generated when I specify a max of 4GB file size
I am wondering:
  • what the xxxxxx digits signify
  • How do I tell which dataset when I am using a rotation; maybe that's what the 1 is after xxxxxx_
