So I copy and paste the \\admin:password@wdmycloudex2\backup into the file name portion. The next button stays grey.

Why didn't you add a file name and extension at the end of the string?

Sorry I didn't realize I had to give it a manual name and extension. After it was able to work.
One thing that would be nice is to have option to hide password for the shared folder after you write successfully to the directory.
