No Reque / startup usb stick Windows 7 pro 64 bit

Post by Jos » Mon Sep 02, 2024 1:33 am

I cannot make a bootable startup usb stick on my Windows 7 Pro 64 bit desktop using the "Windows PE based" function.

Immediately after strating by using the "create startup disks" icon an error code about a missing file pops up.( printscreen enclosed)
If I ignore that message, the procedure still starts, but always stops at exactly 79% done with the message "unable to create image for start up media" (print screen enclosed)

To me the two are related to eachother.

I submited this problem to "support" abt 4 weeks ago, but they do not answser.

Can sombody tell me how to solve this making a bootable usb stock problem?

This new build should cure this problem:R-Drive Image 7.2.7205.

R-Drive Image works on Windows 7 except one thing: R-Drive Image may fail to create a WinPE startup disk.

With that statement your Image backups are useless in case of a Desktop crash.
Without the startup / rescue stick you cannot start your Desktop to restore your image, software and files.
This is the essence of back up software.
With this software and an OS Windows 7 with a serious crash all is lost, despite of the fact that you made a image of your system.

They shoot not promote this software as suitable for Windows 7.

1. Why don't you use the Linux-based startup device? It works perfectly under Windows 7.
2. There are many other actions R-Drive Image can perform under Windows 7.

I tried Unix but that does not work either.
Does somebody know why R Drive Image ignores a request for support.
I did send several reminders and I am waiting for feedback more than a month.

Apparently R-Drive Image does not have a functional Customerservice.
A take care of it yourself support, we don/ t care?

What was wrong? You couldn't create a Linux-based startup disk or your computer didn't start with that startup disk?

And do you have the ticket number for your request? I'll try to understand what was wrong with your techsupport request.
