Windows 11 does not boot after partition restore on same disk (switching from Linux to Windows)

Hello,
I am using R-Drive Image on a 512GB SSD configured with GPT/UEFI.
My disk setup contains:
One Linux installation
One separate Windows 11 installation
One 300GB NTFS partition used only for personal data
Important: I do NOT want the 300GB data partition to be deleted during restore.
Here is my workflow:
I regularly switch between operating systems.
For example, if I am currently using Linux and I decide to switch back to Windows:
I delete the Linux partitions.
This creates unallocated space on the same SSD.
I then restore the Windows backup partitions into that unallocated space.
I restore all Windows-related partitions in the same original order (EFI, MSR, Windows, Recovery, etc.).
I do NOT restore the entire disk — only the Windows partitions.
The restore process completes without errors.
However, Windows 11 does NOT boot after this partition-by-partition restore.
If instead I perform a full disk restore, Windows boots correctly — but this deletes my 300GB data partition, which I want to keep.
When Windows does not boot after the partition restore, I must repair the bootloader manually by:
Booting from a Windows 11 installation USB stick.
Opening Command Prompt from the recovery environment.
Running:
bcdboot C:\Windows /l fr-fr /s S: /f UEFI
After running this command, Windows boots normally again.
So my questions are:
Why does Windows 11 fail to boot when restoring only the Windows partitions on the same disk, even though they are restored in the original order?
Does R-Drive modify disk or partition GUIDs during partition restore?
Is there a way to restore Windows so that:
It boots correctly
The 300GB NTFS data partition remains untouched
I do not need to perform a full disk restore?
The hardware and SSD remain exactly the same. I am not migrating to another disk.
Linux partition restores work perfectly in the same scenario, but Windows requires either a full disk restore or manual BCD repair to boot properly.
Any clarification or recommended restore settings would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.
