Feature request: browser warning

Post by bertrandh » Sat Sep 01, 2012 8:00 am

Hi all,

After my post here (http://forum.r-tt.com/r-w-c-causing-fir ... t8228.html) and testing R Wipe and clean.... I used the version 9.7 build 1831.... here is a request.

I noticed errors with the browser were caused by the fact the cleaning process was not checking if the browser was running.
It would be nice to have R Wipe and clean check if the application is running (Internet Explorer, Firefox,...) and warn the user if this the case.

When the browser is open, the problem described in the other post comes too easily.

An option to repair the cache might be good.

The competitive product Privacy Guardian checks this and warns the user if the browser is open. Privacy guardian skips the cleaning the process if the user prefers not to close the browser.

Thank you for reading me.

Thank for the request, I've passed it to our developers.
