Recovery of a Virus Infected Windows Storage Space

Post by apresley1 » Wed Nov 17, 2021 12:12 am

Hi there!

We recently had a virus infect one of our Hyper-V clusters. The virus has been removed, but after rebooting the system, our windows server is fairly sick, and the Windows Storage Space (drives / cluster) won't come up. I'm very familiar with linux RAID / mdadm / other storage subsystems, but this is fairly new to me. I'm not really even sure where to start on the Windows Storage Space.

When I run the software, it detects all of the physical drives, and all of the partitions - but none of the Windows Storage Spaces (drives?).

Is there a good tutorial to use R-Studio to recover this type of a scenario?
