Hello everyone, I thought I was pretty good with computers but this is a whole new level.
Hardware:
2021 16" Macbook Pro M1Max running Monterey 12.4
RAID Controller - SoftRaid
4 x 4TB Drives setup for 12TB of video and data storage
What Happened:
I bought the Caldigit TS4 Thunderbolt Dock. It has a known issue when MacOS goes to sleep the dock disconnects all drives. I think when this happened my RAID got out of sync. Will not mount.
Status:
Used R-Studio to Scan all drives.
Made a Virtual Block Raid
After making the Virtual Block, I get a message in the log saying: "Virtual Block RAID 1: GPT tables error 0x224"
Not 100% sure of RAID parameters but I do know the order of the drives in the enclosure, and the block size. I don't know Block Order or Number of Rows. Block size is 16KB.
When I apply these parameters and block order for Left Synchronous. I get log messages indicating that some sectors and other partitions or system areas overlap. This shows as multiple partitions (too many I think) under the block raid.
I need your help to point me in the next direction. Should I find a way to recover (if possible)? Should I swap out the out of sync disk and rebuild?

Re: RAID 5 Recovery Next Steps
For the beginning, disconnect the out of sync disk and substitute it with a virtual Missing disk object and then consequently change Block order.

Good idea on the virtual disk.
What I don’t understand is how this affects block order. Should I trial and error or do you suggest a specific block order?

Re: RAID 5 Recovery Next Steps
I now tried:
Removing the actual drive from the array.
Creating a virtual block raid in R-studio
Added the 3 existing disks and then made a missing disk in the correct order.
Then I tried all the block orders but nothing seems to make data available.
Any tips? Might need a pro to look at this...
