Cannot open PC-3000 bin image files

Post by jimpan » Mon Jul 17, 2023 9:24 am

Hi there. I am using PC-3000 to image a couple of drives that were a fusion. I recall reading that R-Studio can now deal with Fusion drives and also work with pc-3000 data extractor image files.

I have tried opening only the first bin image file from PC-3000, and scan the file which shows EFI System Partition and the GPTPart1 (HFS+). When I try to explore the files it says the disk does not contain any supported file systems (see screen shots).

I have also tried opening up all the bin image files from pc-3000 data extractor, but crashes (see part log file below). PC-3000 Data Extractor has created many bin files so not sure if this is a limitation.

Attached is part of a log file created. It goes for a while but just pasted a portion of it below.

If anyone uses r-studio and pc-3000 to open up the image files, please let me know.

Although R-Studio can work with PC-3000 hardware (Joint work of R-Studio and PC-3000 UDMA hardware), it can't process its image files yet.
