raid5 data recovery and 0 bytes file size

I've degraded RAID5 built on 3 HDDs (1,5TB Seagate ST31500341AS) formated in ext3 filesystem and working under DNS-343
One HDD become unstable and broken, and the RAID degraded.
The notification didn't came on time so some files become copied into raid which works in degraded state.
Finally the raid partition was missing so I had to use some additional software to recover under PC.
The R-studio works fine (With the settings which worked in R-studio I couldn't generate proper vlm file in NAS Recovery to use under Captain nemo)
I've found the data partition settings, configured in R-studio and find some files.
Some small files (like pdf txt xls) was even possible to open with demo limitation.
The only problem is that the files I really need for now have size 0 Bytes.
I've tried some other settings but only the first gives resonable results when the other ones gives exception error during file vie preparing or show not proper raid partition size.
For example I've tested changing of block size from 64KiB to other or asymetric instead of symmetric.
My questions regarding to above
Is it possible that different configuration of RAID parition under R-studio can give better results?
Is there any difference in the file recovery between demo and registered version (the one i recognise is a limitation of file size)?
