does building a virutal array improve the chance to revover

Hello

Does creating a virtual array in RStudio normally increase the chance to recover files/folder (on an ext4fs based RAID1-array)?

Thank you!

Linus

PS
The second 2 disk does report defect sectors. But I trying to produce a raw/dd-Image with ddrescure :-)

Could you tell me what actually happened with the RAID1? A failed disk or controller? A RAID crash? Without the answers I cannot say much.
