8 Drive hardware raid RAID 5

Post by nickfranco » Wed May 25, 2016 12:28 pm

I have made a school boy error and have formatted my HFS Volume with another HSF Volume - will this software allow me to get my file structure back? folders etc - I haven't written anything to the raid since I formatted it.

The raid has been built through a SAS hardware raid controller there are 8 3TB drives in the raid and I have numbered them in the 1-8 from the bottom to top. there is nothing wrong with the drives as far as I'm aware.

I did send them to a raid recovery specialist but found that they wouldn't deliver on their promise, so I lost faith - they tell me that they have not touched the drives nd that they only made disk images of them.

Ideally, I would like to find someone who specialises in this kind of recovery saving me a steep learning curve and potential mistakes. During my research, this software does seem to be the most comprehensive package.

Is there any hope of getting the directory back? RAW recovery is not an option as there is at least 7 TB of data that I need back

Thank you in advance for your help.
