Recovering and restoring original folder structure on Mac 10

Post by bowlerboy1973 » Sun Apr 15, 2012 7:56 am

hi there, I'm running OS 10.6.8 on a MBP, and had been using time machine with an external 2gb usb drive. I (doofus) managed to delete a partial backup and used r-studio to restore it, but have had to restore to my synology server, which is an EXT4 system. Is there any way to restore the whole bunch of files as they appeared on the original drive so I can navigate more easily? I'm sure I'm probably just missing something screamingly obvious in the r-studio manual but I'd love to be able to restore the whole lot as it was on another drive. Thanks!

Sorry, I don't quite understand what you want to do - extract files from the recovered backup? Or what?
