Raid0 HFS+

Post by rop12770 » Thu Sep 06, 2012 4:58 pm

Hi

I got 2 WD 500GB each disks working on RAID-0 with HFS+ partitions, so 1TB HFS+. They were on a external enclosure.
One of the disks was bad, but I could image it to a good drive.
After I plug the 2 HDD's to Windows XP and R-Studio, I was able to create a virtual RAID and do a scan. After the scan it found a HFS+ partition and a Lost Files I think (I'm not near the computer now...).

When I try to see the HFS partition, R-studio only shows the Hex view. I can't see any files/tree. Why? What else is needed??

Thanks

When you double-click the partition, it should opens. Can I see a screenshot of the "Hex view"?

I'm still working on this, trying another things.
But other thing that shows is that when I test the RAID consistency, it fails...
Damn...

RAID 0 has zero redundancy, RAID consistency isn't applicable to it.

Because their file systems are too severely broken.
I believe that file recovery from Extra Found Files is the only options remain.
