Recovering FPT file possible?

Hello all. I am trying to use R-Studio to see if recovery of an .FPT file is possible. I am on Windows 8 and using R-Studio version 6.3.153961 . Would there be anything specific that I would have to do in order to get these files or should I just try a full drive recovery and see if the files show up? Any help and guidance would be appreciated. Thank you.

I think, a full drive recovery would be enough.
