Fusion Drives on OS X

Post by PaulK » Tue Jul 23, 2013 8:51 am

Hi There I have a Fusion Drive on my macbook pro that i created myself by removing my dvd drive, adding an SSD as my main drive and taking the existing (spinning) disk and mounting it in the DVD bay with a disk doubler from OWC.

My system hung the other day and I forced rebooted and now my macbook will not boot at all, I get the no entry sign on chime.

Does anyone know if R-Studio will be able to recognise that I have two drives logically connected as a fusion drive and recover the data, or am I wasting my time?

Thanks for the advice
Paul

Try to create a volume set out of the disks. R-Studio on-line help: Volume Sets, Stripe Sets, and Mirrors.
