Hey people.
My query is as the title really. I have a 500gb hdd that's died on me. (Running Ubuntu Server [ext 2]) I have a backup of the data, but spent a week or so renaming, sorting and filing. Then it died before I could back it up :S
I've used testdisc and it found my files, but none had the names/file structure. 500gb of sorting? No thanks!!!!
Then I found this tool.
It found my drive. It made an image. I explored it in file mode view, and selected the folders I wanted.
I click recover files.
Nothing happened.
I left it for a day.
Nothing had happened.
- Is this a common problem? Or does anyone have any suggestions?
Cheers,
Rich
R-Linux finds my files, creates then image, then nothing.
Re: R-Linux finds my files, creates then image, then nothing.
I did the same, R-Linux recovered all marked folders and their respective files.

How long did you leave it running for?

It recovered files at once.
