recovery of reformatted encrypted volume

Post by josh » Fri Jul 24, 2015 9:21 am

Hi, using Apple Disk Utility I mistakenly reformatted an Eagle 500 GB portable USB drive, which had one volume formatted as Mac OS Extended, journaled, encrypted. It was about 1/2 full. I did not do a secure erase, and created a new unencrypted Mac OS Extended (Journaled) volume. I'm running Mac Yosemite 10.10.4. There are no issues with the drive itself.

Would your software be able to recover the erased encrypted volume, such that I could then unlock it and recover the actual files?

Thanks!
Josh

You may try that at no cost. Just install R-Studio for Mac in its demo mode and do all the necessary operations except saving recovered files. If the attempt proves successful, you may purchase the program and register it on-the-fly.
