Wiping memory cards and USB sticks

Is R-Wipe a suitable product to wipe SD cards and memory sticks? Format and then use 3-pass DOD? Would that also wipe filenames? (despite the risk of file remnants remaining in memory on USB sticks due to wear-levelling!)

Anything that can do a simple zero fill will pretty much do the trick. Multi-pass is only to satisfy your paranoia. It's true that a few sectors might be recoverable due to wear leveling, but it'd be just a random selection of a few sectors here and there. Not likely to yield any major information.

Yes, R-Wipe & Clean can be used to wipe those device. DOD isn't necessary. Just use 0s or random numbers. It's not faster only, it also save life for those devices. File names are also wiped.
