Is there any support or method for recovering from a mac drive that is encrypted by the built in OSX disk encryption, FileVault 2?

If you're going to recover data FROM a valid FileVault 2, this article may help: Data Recovery from Apple Disk Images (.DMG files).

To answer the OP's question, no R-Studio does not support FileVault, at least not until the drive is mounted by the OS and password put in. Right now the only thing that supports FileVault is an actual Mac computer. If the filesystem is damaged, such as in the case of a drive that had bad sectors and had to be imaged over to another drive, then you might try DiskWarrior. It's not exactly a data recovery program, but it can often force the drive to mount (allowing for decryption) and then you can scan it using R-Studio for Mac or another data recovery program.
