R-Studio for Mac freeze on Mac OS X 10.6.2 Server

Post by Nax » Mon Feb 08, 2010 5:20 pm

Trying to run R-Studio for Mac using my Mac mini server for lengthy recovery operation on an external disc.
Installation goes fine but when starting up I just get the icon in the Dock and then nothing happens, icon's still there but nothing.

Talked to support but they have no data on this at all - so, does anyone out there have any experience with this?

Please let me know so that I can determine if it is my setup or a general Mac OS X 10.6.2 Server problem.

My setup:
System Version: Mac OS X Server 10.6.2 (10C540)
Server Configuration: Advanced
Kernel Version: Darwin 10.2.0
Model Name: Mac mini
Model Identifier: Macmini3,1
Processor Name: Intel Core 2 Duo
Processor Speed: 2,53 GHz
Number Of Processors: 1
Total Number Of Cores: 2
L2 Cache: 3 MB
Memory: 4 GB
Bus Speed: 1,07 GHz
Boot ROM Version: MM31.00AD.B00
SMC Version (system): 1.35f1

The external (damaged) disk is mounted in cabinet an connected with USB2.

The problem isn't to get it mounted or recognized - the problem is to get the R-Studio for Mac software to run on a Mac Mini with Max OS X 10.6.2 Server (Snow Leopard Server).
As it works perfect on my MacBook Pro I don't get that it doesn't on the server version of 10.6.2.

So, any experiences? Could some of you that have the possibility to install R-Studio for Mac on Mac OS X 10.6.2 Server and test run it?

If there is a general problem then we know it's the program - but if it works for some of you it's my setup.

Thanks in advance people.

Please, start Terminal type the following commands:
cd /Applications/R-Studio.app/Contents/MacOS/
