odd serial number problem

I'm attempting to use the demo (version 5.3.132965) to determine whether or not it'll help recover a lost RAID10 setup (from an Areca controller).

I noticed it appears to be byte swapping the serial numbers on the drives. These being Seagate ST31500341AS 1.5TB drives. They're currently connected directly to the motherboard (a supermicro X8STE). They're not on the Areca controller for this. The machine is running a freshly installed Windows 7 x86 setup. Updates done. No other software loaded.

Instead of reading AB12CD34 the serial number for the drive is shown as BA21DC43. The LSB being transposed with the MSB.

I can't confirm if it does this with other drives as these are the only types in use on this setup.

Strange indeed. I'll pass the problem to our developers.
