R-Linux recovery of deleted MP3:s

Post by weddan » Mon Jun 06, 2011 1:12 pm

Hi!

I have by mistake deleted my MP3-files and with R-Linux I managed to find the file names on the disk. But even if I can see the deleted file names in R-Linux, I still cannot restore the files. That is, the files are there, but they have file size = 0.
Any tips on how to restore them?

Regards

/Magnus

Try to scan the disk for known file types. Right-click the disk and select Scan.

Ok, but I have done the scanning and the MP3-files I want to recover are listed, so the file names are there. The problem is that they are marked as Deleted and with size=0 and when I use the Recover feature in R-Linux, the file that is recovered is still empty (size=0).

Look at Extra Found Files rather than a Recognized partition. You won't see the file names but you may test files in the MP3 folder.
