R-Wipe shuts down computer instead of rebooting

Post by serge_s » Thu Jul 02, 2009 2:01 am

Hello.

Got the following strange problem while carrying out R-Wipe tests: then I set up cleaning task and choose User logoff or System shutdown
event as a trigger, and after that try to reboot the system, it shuts down instead of rebooting,
generating event id 1073 (reboot attempt failed).
Tried this procedure on two different PCs, the problem persists. Both PCs are running Windows XP SP3.

Will be very glad to hear if anyone faces the same problem.

Thank you.

Thank you for the answer. That's good, but we have deadlines for implementing R-wipe into our corporate structure and this bug is the only preventing thing. Are there any information about possible time to wait for the fixed version of the product to come?
Thank you.

It's appeared not so easy to implement. So, let it be a known issue.
