Backup Plan

Post by linedadelas » Fri Feb 14, 2020 2:02 am

Hi all,
i've a question.....

i cannot plan an exact backup rotation strategy, and r-drive fill all my backup disks.

for example : if i want make a rotation strategy of 7 days, but not composed by full drive images, but incremental/differential images, which is the correct way ?

i've tested any way, but i haven't find solution.

can u place a screenshot of backup plan ?

Please provide us with more details about your desired plan. Once a week a full backup of what? Does your system have separate system and data disks? If yes, do you want to backup only the data disk or the entire system? If the entire system, do you want to backup two disks separately or as the entire system?

My understanding is that you want to make a full backup once a week, and partial backups once a day. Is that correct? What week day do you want to make the full backup? What time for the full and partial backups? Do you want to use differential or incremental backups?

You see how much data is needed to create a real backup plan. Once you give us it, I'll make a real working plan for your.

We have an article Creating a Data Consistent, Space Efficient Data Backup Plan for a Small Business Server that may help you to compose the data about your plan.
